1. About this Cookie Policy
This policy explains how MarginNav uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies, and is part of our Privacy Policy. It's provided by Dudás Digital Studio, a Swiss sole proprietorship based in Lugano, Switzerland.
2. Cookies and similar technologies we use
MarginNav uses one functional cookie and your browser's local and session storage. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
3. Strictly necessary / functional storage
MarginNav sets one cookie, `sidebar_state`, which remembers whether your navigation sidebar is expanded or collapsed. It lasts up to 7 days and contains no personal information.
4. Authentication and session storage
To keep you signed in, MarginNav stores your session in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. This is functionally necessary for the service to work.
5. Language and preference storage
Your chosen display language is saved in your browser's local storage so MarginNav remembers it on your next visit.
6. Temporary draft/session storage
When entering daily sales, MarginNav temporarily holds what you're typing in your browser's session storage, so it isn't lost if you navigate away before saving. This clears automatically when you close the tab.
7. Third-party services
Stripe processes subscription payments. When you're taken to Stripe's own checkout page, Stripe may set cookies on its own domain, governed by Stripe's own privacy practices — not by MarginNav. If you sign in with Google, the same applies to Google's own domain during that sign-in step. Sentry, our error-monitoring provider, does not set cookies in our configuration.
8. Analytics and advertising
MarginNav does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, PostHog, Plausible, Mixpanel, any advertising network, or any other analytics or marketing tracking technology.
9. Managing browser storage
You can clear cookies and local/session storage at any time through your browser's settings. Clearing them will sign you out and reset your language and sidebar preferences.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if what MarginNav actually uses changes. We will update this Policy when such changes are made.
